valentine party

donnie and i (being the romantic people that we are) have never really planned anything for the big "V" day on any given year, so... this year we (i) had a plan to have a valentine's day party for the grandkids ~ with no dad's or mom's invited (from 5:00 until 9:00 they could have their "own" time together and not have to worry about kids). so the kids came and we made heart shaped pizza on boboli bread. they each got their own boboli and decorated them with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, more cheese, canadian bacon, more cheese, cheese, and more cheese. we baked them, then some ate the cheese off and a few peperoni's, and then were ready for dessert.
(oopps! kamryn's slipped off her plate!)

we made sundaes for desert. mostly they ate the sprinkle toppings off the top and left the rest. (sugar)

then we exchanged all of the valentine's and candy from papa and gramma and their cousins. (more sugar!)

after they were all sugared up...
we went downstairs to play the 'wii', but everyone wanted to play a different game and also wanted their own controls. didn't work out as gramma had planned. so we decided to go in the playroom and play with the blocks. we started to build towers, but everyone wanted to build their own tower and needed all the blocks to do so. didnt' work out quite right.
we went into the family room and started to play games. enie, menie, minie, mo, bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish, and duck, duck goose. but all six kids couldn't fit on gramma's lap at the same time, and so that didn't work the greatest either. we finally got them all lined up on the couch to get a picture of them, and you can see how well that went over.

even through all of the little battles we had to deal with (a few little drama mama's! with great big hormones!) we DID have a great time. anytime we can spoil these little angels, it's worth everybit of energy it takes. and hopefully, they'll know that papa and gramma would do anything in the world for them, because we love them sooo, sooo much! memories i hope they will hold on to forever. love ya kids! happy valentine's day!

How Fun!!! That will diffently be a great memory that those kids will cherish and remember. You should wait to give them the sugar till it is about time to send them home, that's what usually happens to us.

We totally enjoyed our night out without kids. Thank you so so so much. You guys are wonderful. We love you so much. Kendyl & Ryker had a great time. She even told her primary teachers all about it.
