yep... another year gone by.

and yes... i did need help blowing out all of those candles!

we had my birthday dinner on sunday, out at george and mel's. my kids are always so thoughtful, and i love spending special times with them!donnie smoked a turkey and the girls fixed the rest of a yummy dinner! of course, german chocolate cake with vanilla icecream was for dessert (since that is my favorite! thanks again, mel!!)

trying to get 8 little ones rounded up to take a picture, is like herding pigs. most of the time, it just doesn't happen, and if it does, you have to take what you can get.

i'm grateful to have another birthday, just wish the 'years' didn't keep creeping up on me. i want to be around to see these cute little grandkids grow up and have their own. i have been sooooo blessed, and thank my Heavenly Father every day for the many, many blessings he sends my way!

36 years ago today...

I was married to my very BEST friend!

we love to be with each other, whether we be hanging out at home, visiting the grand kids (and kids), working in the yard, camping, four wheeling, hunting, or traveling (i even use to love to go out to the farm or up to the pasture, to feed or irrigate, just so i could be with him, (he doesn't do that anymore.)

we've been to Switzerland, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Alaska (twice).

but it doesn't matter where we are, we just like to be together. we bought a lot down on the mountain about 5 years ago, and we love to be down at our trailer, when ever we can.

it's pretty scary, when you even start to think alike. i guess that's what the Lord intended when he said we should be as one!

we have four beautiful children (mostly because they look like their dad), (almost 4, on the 19th of march) of the most awesome sons and daughters in law, and the cutest grandchildren in the whole wide world! ~ 4 girls and 3 boys.

i couldn't be more blessed!
