we went out to have sunday dinner with george, mel, and the girls. chet and tiff were there, too, with their kiddos.
anyway, after we had dinner and the kids were running crazy, ise came in and had something in her mouth. i didn't think much about it, because don had jolly ranchers in his pocket and was giving them out to the kids. later, mel went back into her bathroom and found her pill bottle on the floor, opened. it was one that she had taken on vacation with them, and didn't know for sure how many pills had been in the bottle. she came out and asked siona if she had been into her meds. when siona didn't know anything about it, i remembered that ise had had something in her mouth that looked kind of chalky. we asked ise if she had taken any of her mom's meds, and she said, "yep!" like no big deal. we asked her how many... one? two? three? and she answered with 4, 5, 6 ! so mel called poison control. they told her she needed to take her immediately to the e.r. well, their insurance requires them to go to timpanogas hospital in orem and we were out in saratoga springs. george stayed home with the other girls and i went with mel and isely to the hospital. when we got there, poison control had already called and told them we were on our way. they told us that they would have to wait a couple of hours before they could draw her blood, so we sat in the room in the e.r. and waited, and waited, and waited. by now, it was almost 10:00 p.m. ise was thinking "no big deal" until the vampires came in. she was NOT a happy camper! but i don't think she will get into her mom's meds ever again!
