this year, we had to bring the trailer off the mountain early, because donnie has an elk tag and wanted to have the trailer for the hunt. so we took the 'big boys', hunter and ryker with us to skyline mountain to get the trailer. on the way down, we stopped at
'cal ranch' to get grandpa new suspenders and while we were there, we found cowboy bandanna's for the boys... and
of course, they each got to pick out their own bag of treats. we stopped in spanish fork at the
arctic circle for lunch, and
of course, again, they got to pick out whatever they wanted. hamburger kids meals, with chocolate shake for ryker and huckleberry shake for hunter. they were thinkin' they were sittin' on tall cotton!

he came to the trailer and asked gramma if he could have a container with a lid for his grasshoppers. and of course, i found one for them, and then they wanted holes cut in it so the grasshoppers could breathe. at first i said 'no', but then thought, when am i EVER going to use it again!

as we were pulling out of the lot, and don had locked it all up, he just happened to look up to see smoke coming from the fire pit. he asked the boys if they had put more wood on the fire that morning, while they were playing, and hunter said, "i told ryker not to!" don said "ryker..., did you put more wood in the fire pit?" and he said "yeah!" (like what's the big deal?). so we're all loaded up and ready to go, and don had to go back up and make sure the fire was completely out.
so the end of another season down in fairview. sad to see it end, but just hasn't been the same without craig and ladawn down at their cabin, too. maybe in 2 more years it will be exciting to be down there more.
